Welcome!

FufuPomeranians has been breeding quality Pomeranians for more than five years. Our Poms are healthy, happy, and well socialized. They are raised with love and lots of attention from both my children and myself, and they have plenty of room to grow and play. These are not puppy-mill dogs!

Our goal is to breed top-quality Pomeranian dogs with good temperaments and pedigrees. To insure the health of the dogs and puppies, they are fed only top-quality dog food, and are supplemented with plain yogurt three-times each week, as well as holistic supplements and omega-3 vitamins on a regular basis (for healthy teeth and coats). FufuPomeranian's dogs are pampered pets, generation after generation.

Information about puppies is posted once they are a week old, and we update their pictures as the puppies grow. If you are interested in a puppy or upcoming litter, contact us.

About Pomeranians

Jeannie and her pups

Pomeranians are known to have existed around the eighteenth century in Germany. They resemble the much larger sled-pulling Spitz-type dogs from the Artic Circle, from which they are believed to be descended. The Pomeranian was first introduced to Britain in the 19th Century weighting around 30 lbs. After several appeals from different Pomeranian clubs, the breed standard was reduced to 7 lbs. It is said the Queen Victoria was much taken with the breed and had a number of them in her kennels.

The Pomeranian dog is considered a Toy Breed now. They range in height from 6 - 11 inches, and weigh from 2 - 9 lbs. Solid-color Poms can be found in Orange, White, Black, Brown, and Light or Dark Blue. Mixed-color Poms can be found in: Parti mixed color, Tri-color, Blue and Tan, Black andTan, Sable, and many varieties of Merle. Their coats can be long and silky, straight and harsh, or double coated with a soft fluffy undercoat.

The Pomeranian temperament is very friendly, active, and lively. They make excellent companions, and become very attached to their owners and other pets. They make a very good watch dogs and will alert you of intruders. They don't, however, make a good guard dog, because they are too friendly!

Pomeranians do well in a house or apartment and in the city or country. They thrive in a busy family atmosphere. They are very intelligent and quickly learn problem-solving techniques.

Pomeranians love-love-love to be pampered. They make an excellent companion for the elderly. To care for your Pomeranian be prepared to bath them on a monthly basis and brush their coats daily to prevent matting. Pomeranians shed once or twice a year, with bitches shedding approximately two months after whelping a littler. Regular cleaning of their eyes, ears, and teeth are recommended.

Their life span is approximately 15-years. When they breed, they can have litters of one-to-five puppies. Pomeranians are subject to a few health issues, including Patella luxation, tooth loss, and the possibility of needing a Cesarean to birth their pups (if the bitch is too small).

This is an amazing breed of dog and becoming one of the most popular breeds in the U.S. today. So now think about how much more wonderful your life would be if you had a Pomeranian of your own!
